Wind Phone Project Launch

NL Health Services is pleased to share details regarding the upcoming launch of the Wind Phone Project, a meaningful initiative developed in partnership between NL Health Services and the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation.

The official launch of the Wind Phone will take place on Wednesday, July 2nd at 1:00 p.m. at The Landing Place Pond in Marystown. A wind phone is a symbolic way to speak to loved ones who have passed on by allowing the wind to carry your words of love and loss; share memories or unspoken thoughts, or express feelings of grief, longing, or hope.

In addition, NL Health Services is proud to support a second Wind Phone installation led by the Town of Marystown, with support from NL Health Services. This project will be officially launched earlier the same day at 12:00 p.m. on the Walk of Hope Trail, Tolt Road, Marystown.

NL Health Services is grateful for the strong partnerships with both the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation and the Town of Marystown. Together, we hope the Wind Phone Project will offer comfort, connection, and support to those navigating grief and loss in our communities.
