Health Care

The nearest hospital is the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre which is located in Burin Bay Arm, Burin, approximately 12 minutes from Marystown, and serves as the hub for health care services for the Burin Peninsula. The facility opened its doors in 1988 and became part of the Eastern Health region in 2005.

The BPHCC is supported by the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation. Its mandate is to assist the Eastern Health Board Authority by complementing traditional funding sources in support of health care on the Burin Peninsula.

The Marystown Community Services Centre is located at 10-12 Harris Drive Business Park and offers various clinics including:

Clear Focus Optical is located at the Peninsula Mall at 25-57 Columbia Drive and can be reached by calling 709-279-1950.

Dentists/Denturists

There is one dentist office located in Marystown at 108 Columbia Drive which can be reached at 709-279-4180.

Alternatively, Burin Dental Clinic is located at 28-30 Main Street in Burin Bay Arm approximately 12 minutes from Marystown. Contact the clinic at 709-894-4404/4406.

Find Childcare

New Beginnings Daycare and Preschool is located at 341 Creston Boulevard (Rogers Subdivision) and can accommodate children aged 2 to 13 years old. For more information, you can join their Facebook Group or call 709-279-1348.

The Marystown YMCA, located at 2B Harris Drive, also offers child care services where members can go for a swim, take a walk on the track or go for a run on the treadmill rest assured that their child is being minded.
