April 19-25, 2026, is Volunteer Appreciation Week, a time to recognize the impact of our community volunteers. This year’s theme is “Igniting Volunteerism” because every act of volunteering, whether a spark or a steady flame, helps ignite something larger than itself.
Did you know that there are over 210,000 individuals in the province who volunteer an average of 161 hours per year with 3,400 incorporated non-profits and 3,000 plus informal community groups?
As a Town, we are very grateful for our volunteers as many of our events would not be possible without their help. We look forward to officially celebrating you on Volunteer Appreciation Night on April 22nd.
