Thank You!

The Town of Marystown would like to thank the Department of Transportation & Infrastructure, the Marystown Volunteer Fire Department, NL Power and the Burin Peninsula RCMP for their quick response on Wednesday evening following an accident that left the lights at the bailey bridge damaged. We are grateful that no one was injured.

The Town would also like to thank the Department of Transportation & Infrastructure for how quickly they were able to get temporary traffic lights put in place so motorists weren’t inconvenience for too long. It was less than 24 hours from the time the accident occurred until the bridge was reopened and we couldn’t have asked for any better!

We’d also like to thank the residents for their patience. The bailey bridge took a while to get in place and it’s made a huge difference in our commutes so we are extremely pleased that it is open again.
