Residents are advised that the Town of Marystown’s Snow Clearing Regulations are in effect until April 30th, 2026.
As per section 4 of the Regulations, side-street parking is prohibited and unattended vehicles interfering with snow clearing operations will be removed at the owner’s cost.
Currently, there is an issue with two vehicles parked on the side of the street on Smallwood Crescent. As a result, our operators were not able to properly clear the road which impacts on other drivers. This road cannot be properly cleared until these two vehicles are removed by the owners. If these vehicles are not removed, the Town has the right to have them towed at the owner’s cost in order to ensure the safety of others.
As well, residents are advised that as per section 5 of the Regulations, no person shall deposit snow from a driveway, sidewalk, parking lot or other property onto any street or street reservations.
Residents are cautioned against tailgating or stopping too close behind snowplows or any piece of Town equipment as it increases the risk of a collision if the operators need to stop, back up or take evasive action.
A copy of the Snow Clearing regulations can be picked up at the Town Hall or viewed on the Town website.
The Town thanks everyone for their cooperation during the winter snow clearing season.
