The Town’s Clean-up Weeks run from May 20th to June 3rd with a Clean-up Blitz taking place on May 27th. Spring is here and now is the time to clean up our town!
The Town will again be providing garbage bags and gloves to those groups or individuals who want to help us clean up. As we did last year, we’ve identified the areas of town that need the most attention. If you are interested in cleaning up a particular area, please call the Town Office at 279-1661 and speak with Leeanne at extension 236 or Petrina at extension 226.
To facilitate the clean-up, the Town has been provided with two dumpsters – one will be located on the north side of Marystown and the other will be located on the south side. These dumpsters are to be used to dispose of roadside litter only. Please do not use these dumpsters to dispose of bulk garbage. Bulk garbage collection will take place May 23-25 in Marystown. Bags of garbage can be left on the side of the road for the Town to collect if you are not able to bring them to the dumpsters. Call Leeanne or Petrina during working hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 – 4:00) or leave a message after hours and arrangements will be made to collect the bags during working hours.
