Residents are advised that tonight’s Council meeting will be slightly delayed.
Council is very interested in hearing the pending announcement by the Provincial Government that is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. this evening, which is the same time as the Council meeting. This announcement is related to the Bay du Nord offshore oil project and Council is anxious to learn if there will be any benefits for Marystown and the Burin Peninsula.
The Council meeting will commence after the announcement.
