On behalf of Newfoundland Power, motorists are advised that the bailey bridge will be closed on Thursday, May 14th, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to allow Newfoundland Power to do a safe installation of a new power line parallel to the bridge.
While the bridge will be closed to traffic, it will be open to pedestrians who need to cross the bridge. Crews with Newfoundland Power will work to keep the interruption to a minimum while ensuring safety for the public and the workers.
Motorists who normally use the bridge will need to take an alternate route and take additional travel time into consideration.
