With the closure of Canning Bridge and motorists needing to utilize the Creston Causeway to travel from Marystown South/Creston South to Marystown North (and vice versa), there is a noticeable increase in traffic and speeding around Greenwood Street.
Greenwood Street is a residential area with a reduced speed of 35km/h. For the safety of the residents and children in the area, motorists are asked to refrain from using Greenwood Street as a thoroughfare to access the Creston Causeway.
Signage will be erected to that effect.
