There was a recent incident of vandalism discovered at the entrance to the Town’s Quarry Pit located in Dick’s Head. The lock was cut off the gate and pea stone was taken from the pit. A second incident was discovered at the entrance of the pit on Garnish Pond Road where a load of alders and brush was dumped in front of the gate entrance.
The Town would like to advise the public that there are three Town owned pits – Garnish Pond Road, Dick’s Head and Black Brook. The contents of the pits are for Town operations and is not available to the public. Security cameras have now been installed in all three areas.
