Residents and businesses are reminded to secure and cover, if necessary, their loads when travelling to the Burin Peninsula Waste Disposal Site to dispose of debris/waste.
Failure to secure your load is dangerous to other drivers, can lead to unnecessary littering along our roadways and can lead to fines by the RCMP. Even small loads need to be secured to ensure nothing can slide, fall off, become airborne or leak from the truck/trailer.
Residents are advised to load heavier items first, not to overload their truck/trailer and double-check that everything is secure. Depending on the size of the load, residents are also advised to drive slower if necessary.
