A 48-hour fire ban will be implemented for open fires during the scheduled water outage on Wednesday, May 21st.
Just one stray spark can cause a fire. While an emergency plan is in place, the capacity of the Marystown Volunteer Fire Department to suppress a large fire will be limited during the water shut-down. To ensure the safety of all residents and structures, the ban will commence at 12:00AM Wednesday, May 21st until 12:00AM Friday, May 23rd. If required, the Fire Ban may be extended with an announcement.
Residents are asked to report any incidents of open fires by calling 911. We encourage all businesses and residents to be fire safe and prepared as necessary.
We thank you in advance for assistance and cooperation during the water outage!
