The Mental Health and Addictions Promotion and Prevention Team, Eastern Zone, is pleased to invite community members with lived experience, researchers and individual’s/organizations serving men’s mental health and wellness needs to a Men’s Mental Health Roundtable and Networking Event on Thursday, January 11, from 9 am – 12 pm at the Marystown Lions Club, McGettigan Blvd. Registration is required for this event.
Purpose:
• To increase connectivity and collaboration among community members
• To increase focus and attention on the issue of men’s mental health and suicide
• To improve community ownership of the development of solutions to help reduce stigma and improve men’s mental health in Newfoundland and Labrador
Specifically, we are hoping to inspire a collective interest and to gather data for the development of a community-led Provincial Pilot Project that targets men’s mental health and the issues of suicide and substance use. The results of these discussions will inform the growth of the pilot project and its priority areas.
