They’re on our streets, in parking lots and on sidewalks which means someone has to clean it up.
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused the face of litter to change. Used masks, gloves and wipes cannot be recycled and pose a risk to our environment. Improper disposal means this trash could end up in our streams and our ocean or be a choking hazard to animals.
PPE is intended to help us fight a public health challenge, not create a plastic pollution problem.
Please properly dispose of your PPE. Either bring it back home or use a public garbage can.
Let’s all do our part to protect our environment for future generations and keep Marystown clean!
