The Town of Marystown announced today the launch of its new municipal brand and website. These changes come at a time when the Town is evolving its economic development and expanding its global reach.
The new logo embodies the future facing, global vision of the Town. The colours and design are a nod to the Town’s rich seafaring and shipbuilding past and a look forward to a prosperous future. The deep blue hues and salmon accent capture industry, innovation, fisheries and the ocean. The globe-like logo features Marystown Harbour opening into the Atlantic Ocean and to the rest of the world.
“Our new logo heavily features our sheltered, ice-free, deep-water harbour that can accommodate the largest of any vessel in operation today. It’s our gateway to the Atlantic Ocean and the rest of the world, and central to our identity and our economy, ” says Deputy Mayor Gary Myles.
The website uses leading edge technology that allows businesses and residents to interact with the Town online, which has never been more important. It features a user-friendly navigation, helping residents and visitors browse the site with ease. They’ve even added a “Recently Viewed Pages” section that easily allows visitors to get back to sections they’ve already viewed. People will really enjoy the robust search function that lets them find exactly what they’re looking for in seconds.
“Residents, businesses, newcomers – we want everyone to see a future here,” says Deputy Mayor Myles. “The world we live in is digital and online. So are we.”
