Boaters are advised that Wally Drake’s Trucking will begin work on the Raymond’s Road Watermain Replacement project tomorrow morning, August 27th. The contractor will need to pull line from Raymond’s Road to Water Street West by boat across the inlet starting at 7:00 a.m.
The contractor will have boats and divers in the area to stabilize the line until it can be sunk in place. The area will be closed off to boaters for an indefinite period of time until the line has been sunk. This is to ensure the ultimate safety of the divers in the area from other boaters not associated with the project and cognizant of their whereabouts.
This work will proceed weather permitting and should be completed by the end of the work day. If there is any change in plans, residents will be advised via another online post. Residents will also be advised of the reopening of the area once work has finished.
The Town apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and thanks you for your patience as we relocate our waterline in preparation for the installation of the bailey bridge.
